Senior Data Engineer


Nearly 1.3 million Americans are residents of nursing homes, and they depend on nursing staff for basic needs. Currently, 99% of nursing homes in the US are facing nursing shortages, which means residents may not receive adequate care.

About this role

As a Senior Data Engineer at ESHYFT, you will be instrumental in enhancing our operational strategies through sophisticated data engineering.  This role demands a blend of technical prowess in data engineering and a keen understanding of its impact on business outcomes. Your expertise will be pivotal in advancing our mission to provide top-notch healthcare services by refining and optimizing our data infrastructure. Collaborating closely with marketing, operations, and product development team, you will also have the opportunity to impact executive leadership through process optimization and data-driven operational improvements.


  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with data build tool (DBT) for transformation workflows in data warehouses.
  • Strong experience in cloud platforms like GCP, and familiarity with BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of Looker Studio, Mixpanel, or similar analytics tools in beneficial.
  • Experience with AI/ML implementation for data analytics is a plus. 
  • Experience with Apache Spark is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.


  • Operational Agility and Effectiveness:
    • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines.
    • Implement and optimize data transformations using DBT.
    • Automate processes and integrate data across platforms like Salesforce and MongoDB.
  • Cross-functional Data Definitions and Governance:
    • Centralize metrics implement a semantic layer across the organization to enhance cross-functional effectiveness.
    • Develop data models that elevate access, dependability, and quality of data across the organization and align with data governance.
    • Collaborate with teams to manage data systems, align architecture with business needs, and enhance data usability.
  • Proactive and Continuous Improvement:
    • Integrate new tech and tools to enhance data governance and ecosystem via CI/CD.
    • Implement data security measures in line with data governance standards, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational standards.
    • Proactively perform regular capacity planning and data processing optimization to handle increasing data volumes and streamline access.
